My current work is in porcelain and an area I often challenge is scale. The core of my work is concerned with the fascination of throwing methods. I feel continual exploration in this field allows my body of work to evolve every time I am involved with the process.

A major passion of mine is vapour glaze. I am fascinated how soda enhances even the subtlest of marks. I have developed this technique by introducing Copper Carbonate, both before and during the firing process to create flashes of colour to enhance the surface and texture of the forms and handles.

My family predominantly worked in industry which is where my career lay before I found ceramics. This is reflected in my work through a collection of dated machine parts and mechanical objects, which I often press into my work to enhance the craft like qualities.
